Biddle MBITE (Cat. # 246005) Miniature Battery Impedance Test Equipment
The Biddle MBITE is a lightweight, compact
tester that incorporates advanced design and capability for the
increasingly accepted and practical technology of battery impedance
testing. In addition to measuring battery ac impedance and interconnection
resistance, the MBITE also measures individual dc terminal voltages.
The MBITE measures impedance valuesand
dc voltage for all lead-acid andnickel-cadmium
cells up to a capacityof 250 Ah and greater
depending onsite conditions.Specific
system environments maypermit testing of larger Ah
cells. Thisinformation lets the operatordetermine
cell replacement criteriabased on Impedance trends.
The MBITEalso identifies weak cells in a batterystring and pinpoints unsatisfactoryintercell
and/or intertier connectionconditions.
