Keytek 801-4H IEC-IEEE Burst Generator
The stand-alone, extended-range Thermo-Keytek 801-4H, meets and exceeds the EFT/NoiseTM burst generation specifications of IEC 1000-4-4 (IEC 801-4), as well as the revised ANSI/IEEE C62 .41 and other standard tests such as the EN 61000-4-4. It incorporates a built-in coupler/decoupler (coupler/filter) for ac power lines up to 277V, 50-60 Hz, to 16A.
The Keytek 801-4H provides the IEC-specified bursts of 5 ns / 50 ns double exponential impulses. Totally repeatable waveforms, high reliability and long life are key features of the design. Voltage is adjustable from 250V to 8 kV - twice the IEC 801-4's requirement of 4 kV.
For the Keytek Model 801-4H, repetition rate is selectable to at least twice the IEC 1000-4-4 (IEC 801-4) - specifications: 10 kHz to 4.4 kV, - and then 2 .5 kHz to 8 kV (twice the IEC's maximum required voltage level). The burst length is from 1 to 20 ms; and burst repetition period is 0.3s to 5s.
A covered, fully-interlocked capacitor clamp, Model CCL 801, is available for coupling the EFT/Noise rm burst into I/O lines (including data and signal lines). All clamp hinges use nickel-plated, beryllium copper finger stock to insure excellent RF performance over time.
