Radiological Survey Meter
The CD V-700 Model 6B is a portable survey meter using a geiger tube as the detector. The geiger tube is mounted in a probe on the end of a 36 inch cable. The entire instrument and its accessories comprise a circuit box, a probe, a headphone and a carrying strap; a radioactive sample is mounted on the side of the case. The probe is sensitive to moderate and high energy beta radiation and to gamma radiation down to low energies.
