4, 8, (16 w/option) Channel Wide Band Digital Data Recorder
The Sony SIR-1000W is designed to record wide band analog data. Data of 4 channel 160kHz, 8 channel 80kHz or 16 channel 40kHz (using SCX-16W) can be recorded. The SIR-1000W boasts a long recording time of 2 hours for wide band frequencies.
Sony SIR-1000 Features:

- With SCX-16W channel expansion unit recording of 16 channels for DC to 40 kHz
- LSB digital channel (analog 15-bit mode):
- High speed sampling at 768 kHz for external bit stream data
