The Schaffner / Teseq NSG 4070 Conducted Immunity Test System, successor of the NSG 2070, is a multifunctional EMC immunity test system. Its large frequency range from 9kHz to 1GHz and its modular set-up using internal or external amplifiers enable a large variety of applications including tests according to IEC 61000-4-6, various BCI applications as well as signal generator and power meter for test systems as per IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-20, IEC 61000-4-21 and many other applications.

The Teseq / Schaffner NSG 438 ESD Simulator System generates standard-conform discharge pulses of 200V to 30kV, in both air discharge and contact discharge operation. The full range of parameter setting possibilities for polarity, pulse repetition, counter functions, breakdown detection, etc., remains fully available, all the way up to the maximum discharge voltage setting.

High frequency pulse signals do result in cross-talk between conductors running in parallel even over short distances. This behaviour is taken into account in the latest and currently valid edition of the burst standard EN/IEC 61000-4-4 (2004) and results in the fact that coupling of burst pulses is now only specified in pure common mode. The CDN 163 uses this coupling method.
