Inside Sales Rep

Advanced Test Equipment is a nationwide test and measurement equipment rental company that has demonstrated our commitment to providing quality equipment by meeting our customers’ needs since 1981.

We are looking for an experienced Rental Agent / Inside Sales Representative with an outgoing personality and a desire to succeed.  As a Rental Agent / Inside Sales Rep in our Customer Development department, you will be contacting decision makers within companies nationwide. 
You will proactively prospect, present, and close sales over the phone; responding to website inquiries and taking calls from prospective clients; responsible for maintaining a monthly quota; maintaining and establishing exiting and new customer relationships by performing the following duties:

• Makes outbound follow up calls to potential and existing customers;
• Makes outbound calls and send emails to qualify leads and sell services
• Provides technical knowledge of equipment to help customers find a solution to their test and measurement requirements
• Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in pricing items
• Accomplishes sales goals determined by management
• May travel to and attends trade shows and customer visits
• Handling incoming calls and inquiries
• Closing sales and regularly maintaining accounts

Requirements

• 2 or 4 year degree (preferably Technical, Electronics, or Engineering)
• 3 years of Inside Sales experience
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close sales
• Ability to multitask and manage concurrent selling situations
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a Sales department

Preferred:

• Previous experience in equipment rentals industry
• A combination of Inside and Outside sales experience
• Knowledge of test and measurement equipment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other Customer Management Databases
