ASMedia and LeCroy Partner for Faster High Speed Serial Data Standard Development

LeCroy Corporation (NASDAQ: LCRY), a leading supplier of oscilloscopes and serial data test solutions, announced that ASMedia has chosen LeCroy as a partner in the development of new technologies for high speed serial data standards such as SuperSpeed USB and SATA. The partnership will bring a speed advantage to ASMedia's compliance and compatibility testing program, while providing LeCroy with industry insight through access to ASMedia's products and technologies.

ASMedia will be using LeCroy's protocol-enabled receiver and transmitter tolerance tester (PeRT3) together with LeCroy's protocol analyzers and oscilloscopes for receiver testing, transmitter testing, and protocol-level compliance test and debug. Because the PeRT3 provides dramatically faster receiver tolerance testing; ASMedia engineers will have more time to spend on development. LeCroy's PeRT3 is used in the SuperSpeed USB Platform Integration Lab (USB-IF PIL lab) where ASMedia devices have recently passed compliance testing.
