Technician
Advanced Test Equipment Corp. is a growing hi-tech test & measurement equipment rental company located in Sorrento Valley (just south of the 5 & 805 Merge). We are currently looking for a ELECTRONICS REPAIR TECHNICIAN. The successful candidate will be able to perform a wide variety of complex technical functions and repairs on advanced electronics equipment for a, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of equipment, including; AC/DC, scopes, meters, and power supplies
- Calibration of a wide variety of equipment.
- Compute and understand basic dB, dBm, and mW
- Perform return loss and basic network analysis
- Soldering and rework, both through hole and SMT
- Maintain accurate documentation
- And other misc duties
Qualifications:
- Military electronics background (preferred, but not required)
- Precision Measurement Equipment Certification (preferred, but not required)
- Calibration Certificate (preferred, but not required)
- Computer literacy
- Read, interpret, and speak English
- Strong math skills
- Knowledge of Ohms law
- Knowledge of ESD handling precautions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to read schematics and diagrams
- Ability to read and understand specifications and compute accuracy
- Must pass drug screening test
- Must pass background check

(Inside Sales)
Business to Business position requires individual with knowledge and experience in a wide variety of test and measurement equipment. Candidate must have, sales experience and good oral and written communications skills, as well as solid closing abilities. Success in this position requires understanding the customer's needs, providing a solution and closing the sale. Substantial Base + commission and comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements: Formal sales training and knowledge of the sales process + two years sales experience and a degree.
