Advanced Test Equipment Rentals (ATEC) is a worldwide leading rental company of test equipment for military, defense, aerospace, communications, semiconductor, consumer electronics and many other sectors has entered into a partnering agreement with EMC Partner to carry the AVI3000 Indirect Lightning Generator for rent.

The AVI3000 tests outside electromagnetic interference on products, helping to determine whether or not the device under test can stand up to Indirect lightning. The EMC Partner AVI3000 is fully compliant with DO-160 section 22 and MIL-STD-461G Test Method CS117. CS117 is a recently added government contract requirement for testing conducted susceptibility of lightning induced transients, and if a circuit can survive high voltage levels from indirect lightning. CS117 is applicable to aircraft, ship surface, and above deck equipment.

The EMC Partner AVI3000 allows full compliance up to level 3 for PIN injection and Cable bundle tests including: single stroke waveform, multiple stroke and multiple bursts. The AVI3000 has all six waveforms in one unit. The unit, and also has a touchscreen interface, integrated AC/DC de-couplers, an automated test process, phase angle synchronization to 800Hz, and is man portable for on-site testing.
