The AH-640 horn antenna is a broadband antenna designed for receive as well as transmit applications. This standard horn has relatively smooth response curve for antenna factors versus frequency. An antenna factor curve with minimum peaks and valleys helps to minimize the error during calibration and testing.
In addition, horn antennas have low antenna factors and high gain. Therefore, when used for emissions testing it reduces system noise floor, which is an important advantage when measuring low emissions. The AH-640 can also be used for immunity (susceptibility) testing and can take up to 50 Watts of input power in continuous mode in the applicable frequency range. The AH-640 has K type connectors which mate with SMA type connectors. The antennas are constructed using light weight aluminum with corrosion resistant finish.
