ETS-Lindgren's 3183 broadband omni-directional antenna meets the new CISPR 16-1-4 chamber characterization and calibration requirements for measurements above 1 GHz. An operating frequency of 1 - 18 GHz eliminates band breaks, and the 25 W input rating allows signals to be easily detected from the noise floor. Critical VSWR value is 2:1.
The biconical elements are made from aluminum rods and are welded into a fixed assembly. The elements mount onto a balun network which is fabricated of aluminum and the necessary impedance-matching components. Its lightweight construction provides for ease in portability and storage.
