The IFI T82-500 TWT Amplifier is a microwave testing instrument which produces 500W of rated power at a frequency range of 8.0-12.4 GHz and offers 250 W of P1dB Power. IFI T82-500 TWT Amplifiers equip technicians to analyze electrical test systems quickly and efficiently on a sleek backlit LCD display, featuring forward/reverse power indication, system status and self-diagnostic information. All TWT (Traveling Wave Tube) amplifier operating parameters are simultaneously available in the amplifier front panel display as well as over the remote bus. Selection switches allow you to switch the amplifier to the desired mode of operation for local control if the unit is not being operated remotely. For computer automation, both RS-232 and IEEE-488 interfaces are built in. To meet individual application needs, the T-200 Series TWT amplifiers are easily customized with harmonic filters or other options. With this capability and its reliable and elegant design, T-82-500 series amplifiers are essential to technicians with microwave testing needs.   • ​Option 103 G/D: VSWR Reflected Power Protection “Graceful Degradation Feature” which will automatically reduce the input drive and fold back the output power when the average reflected power exceeds a preset limit of 3.0:1. The unit operates without damage or oscillation into any magnitude of phase or load impedance.
