Impedance analyzers determine the impedance, the counteractive force to AC current, that a circuit possesses. Impedance analyzers provide valuable information to users seeking to impedance-match circuitry to be used in communications and control systems, namely the capacitance, inductance and resistance of an electronic circuit. These qualities can be defined as impedance parameters, and by measuring the phase-sensitivity to voltage-to current ratio, users discover them. In turn, the impedance analyzer will display absolute impedance and phase as well as the real and imagined part of the impedance. Impedance analyzers are also used to test and measure these characteristics of a material that is being considered for an electrical design, such as a substrate. Applications include the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, food and medical industries. For similar measurements, see LCR Meters.
ATEC offers impedance analyzer rentals for a variety of products from Keysight Technologies.
