The Narda NBM, designed by Narda Safety Test Solutions, performs extremely accurate measurements of non-ionizing radiation. Measuring electric and magnetic field strengths, the Narda NBM is designed for human safety in workplace environments where high electric or magnetic field strengths are likely to occur. Flat frequency response probes, or "flat probes", along with shaped probes, evaluate the field strength based on human safety standards. These probes are calibrated separately from the field meter and include a non-volatile memory that contains the probe parameters and calibration data. They can therefore be used with any device in the Narda NBM-500 family and provide complete calibration accuracy. Any NBM probe can be used with any NBM meter and still maintain total calibration.
The Narda NBM-550 Broadband Field Meter offers non-directional field-strength measurements with isotropic probes for applications in the frequency range of 0 to 90 GHz, covering all frequencies from long wave to microwave radiation.
The Narda NBM-520 Broadband Field Meter provides a similar broad frequency coverage of electric and magnetic fields from 0 to 60 GHz.
NBM probes include EF (electric field), HF (magnetic field) and EA/EB/EC/ED (shaped to specific standard, such as IEEE) field probes.
