Industrial Electrical Testing: Sweep Frequency Response Analyzers

Sweep frequency response analyzers, or SFRA, evaluate the mechanical integrity and electrical transfer function in power transformers. These analyzers help provide information and detect damage or wear on the transformer. Problems like: winding deformation, displacements between high and low voltage windings, partial winding collapse, shorted or open turns, faulty grounding of core or screens, core movement, broken clamping structures, problematic internal connections
Sweep frequency response analyzers measure the current capacitance of the transformer and the measurements are used to compare to the initial test at install. Any change in the condition of the insulation, winding or other components results in change of capacitance or inductance, indicating an issue. We carry a variety of sweep frequency response analyzers that can perform the necessary capacitance tests you need.
