Narda 8747 Fiber Optic Transmitter

The Narda 8747 fiber optic transmitter is designed for the Narda 8718B and includes a 5m cable. The Narda 8747 fiber optic transmitter is compatible with all 8700 Series probes and the Models 8718B, 8718 and Series 8717 meters. These meters have a built-in fiber optic receiver. The Narda 8747 provides total isolation between meter and probe which is often needed when making low frequency measurements. At higher frequencies, it eliminates the conductive cable which can act as a scatterer when making measurements in an anechoic chamber. Under these conditions, it is desirable to have the operator and the meter outside the chamber, often several meters distant from the probe.
