Olympus 38DL PLUS Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

The Olympus 38DL PLUS ultrasonic thickness gauge measures over a thickness range of 0.08 mm (0.003 in.) to 635 mm (25 in.). Olympus 38DL PLUS models synthesize the capabilities of a wall thickness gauge, a corrosion thickness gauge and more, empowering users to perform everything from wall thinning measurements of corroded pipes to precise measurements of thin materials. The gauge's THRU-COAT and Echo-to-Echo functions allow for accurate measurements on painted and coated surfaces as well. Olympus 38DL PLUS ultrasonic thickness gauges are EMAT compatible and pair with a comprehensive line of dual and single element transducers.

Users operate the Olympus 38DL Plus with a simple keypad ideal for both right and left-hand use. The interface offers direct access to all measurement functions. Test results can be stored in internal and external MicroSD memory storage cards, with USB and RS-232 ports available for direct connection to a personal computer and a VGA output for connecting the display to a computer or monitor. For test set up, the 38DL Plus has both default and customizable setups available for either single or dual transducer testing. A 38-Link wireless adaptor is also available to augment your Olympus 38DL Plus so that it can communicate via Bluetooth and Wireless LAN, allowing for effortless data transfer.

The Olympus 38DL features an internal data logger that allows for 475,000 thickness readings or 20,000 waveforms. Bidirectional and alphanumeric, the logger is designed to capture thickness readings and waveform data and translate it into electrical signals for analysis. 9 file formats are available: incremental, sequential, sequential with custom point, 2D grid, 2D grid with custom point, 3D grid, 3D custom, Manual, and Boiler.

For reporting and data management, the GageView interface application is available. GageView streamlines the collection, management, reporting and printing of 38DL data. Create datasets and surveys, edit stored data, view setup values and more – including downloading and uploading thickness surveys and exporting surveys to spreadsheets and other types of documents and programs. GageView offers printable Thickness, Setup Table, Statistics and Color Grid reports.

Formerly known as the Panametrics 38DL PLUS.
