The AH-118 horn antenna is a broadband antenna for use in the 1 GHz - 18 GHz frequency band. The horn antenna is designed for receive as well as transmit applications. It is a standard horn and has a relatively smooth response curve for antenna factors versus frequency. An antenna factors curve with minimum peaks and valleys helps to minimize the error during calibration and testing.
The horn antenna has lower antenna factors (higher gain) compared to a Log Periodic antenna (AL-100). Therefore, when used for emissions testing it reduces system noise floor, which is an important advantage when measuring low emissions. The Com-Power AH-118 horn antenna can be used for immunity (susceptibility) testing and can take up to 300 Watts of input power in continuous mode in the applicable frequency range. This antenna is constructed using light weight aluminum with corrosion resistant conductive coating. The mounting base of the AH-118 horn antenna has a ¼ inch x 20 threaded hole. It can mounted on a Com-Power antenna tripod (AT-100) with tilting metal head.
