The Vision Research Phantom V7.3 High Speed Camera shoots video at up to 6688 fps (frames per second), capturing footage in striking 800 x 600 resolution with a 3 gigapixels-per-second throughput. Vision Research Phantom V7.3 cameras provide footage in a full-frame 4:3 aspect ratio thanks to a sophisticated CMOS sensor. A CMOS sensor, or active-pixel sensor, contains both a photodetector and an active amplifier in each single picture element. The Vision Research Phantom V7.3's CMOS sensor can record at 6,688 fps at full resolution, but offers over 190,000 fps in standard mode and an incredible 500,000 fps in turbo mode at a reduced resolution rate. Data streaming is possible up to 2000 fps and continuous video output is available in 720p, 1080p, 1080i or 1080psf.
