IEC 61000-4-10 relates to the immunity requirements of equipment, only under operational conditions, to damped oscillatory magnetic disturbances related to medium voltage and high voltage sub-stations. The scope of IEC 61000-4-10 is to establish a common and reproducible basis for evaluating the performance of electrical and electronic equipment for medium voltage and high voltage substations when subjected to damped oscillatory magnetic fields.

  • test procedure
 

IEC 61000-4-10 is intended to demonstrate the immunity of equipment when subjected to damped oscillatory magnetic field related to the specific location and installation condition of the equipment (e.g. proximity of equipment to the disturbance source). IEC 61000-4-10 is mainly applicable to electronic equipment to be installed in H.V. sub-stations.
