The Viavi ANT-5 SDH / PDH Access Tester is a versatile commissioning and installation solution for ATM, SONET, PDH and SDH access networks featuring line rate testing from 1.544 Mb/s up to 2.5 Gb/s. Upgradeable and configurable, the Viavi ANT-5 offers a wide array of SW options and optical interfaces. The built-in autoconfig. functionality for automatic traffic detection provides mapping, line rate and structure capabilities. PDH Mux/Demux testing is available down to 64 kpbs and ATM test functionality, with supported bit rates and mappings, goes up to Vc4-4c. With regard to the Viavi ANT-5's interface, the Offline Viewer SW generates accessible result analysis on any Microsoft Windows-based printer, and a built-in ethernet port lends the device extended connectivity, enabling remote operation and results transfer. When results become confusing, the Viavi ANT-5's troubleshooting features make for easier fault location.
