These product specifications define the requirements for electrical behavior and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of on-board electrical, electronic, and pyrotechnic equipment. The requirements defined in these product specifications are references for tenders to Suppliers. Each Supplier can suggest adaptations of tests (methods, levels) resulting in cost reductions of the equipment or additional constraints without over-costs. The RENAULT system official (in accordance with the RENAULT EMC official) must define to the Supplier the requirements selected. Without Supplier propositions and written response of RENAULT, this standard applies completely.
Equipment is validated when it meets test specifications both for equipment and for vehicles. The tests on equipment shall be realized with an environment representative of the vehicle operating mode. (system validation) The tests on vehicle are used to make a final determination about electromagnetic compatibility performance of equipment.
