LISNs

A line impedance stabilization network, also referred to as a LISN, preserves the quality of EMC measurements and blocks RF noise from returning to the power mains. LISNs are specified in multiple conducted emissions EMC standards for such as CISPR 16-1-2 and 25, MIL-STD-461F, ISO 7637, and DO-160 Sections 20-22.

ATEC has high-voltage LISNs for rent as well as single- and three-phase options. Our inventory is capable of testing both power lines and data lines. They perform these tests by introducing a stable impedance to the DUT, typically 50Ω, to measure how much RF "noise" the DUT emits along its power line. Used in conjunction with other pieces of conducted emissions equipment, a complete picture of a DUT's RF emissions compared to a standard "limit line" is achievable.

ATEC offers customers affordable rental options for AC and DC LISNs from industry-leading manufacturers such as PMM, Com-Power, and Solar Electronics. We are also able to sell PMM LISNs new and everything else used, and can calibrate user models to ISO 17025 at our in-house lab. Reach out to an ATEC rental expert or start a calibration request to find the right product to suit your testing needs.
