Environmental chambers simulate the environmental conditions products, materials and devices encounter throughout their lifespans. ATEC offers environmental test chamber rentals for a wide variety of environmental testing applications, including temperature & humidity chambers, thermal shock chambers, industrial ovens, convection ovens, vacuum chambers, vibration chambers and more. Our inventory consists of both benchtop test chambers and floor-standing chambers, as small as 1.2 cubic feet (35 liters), as large as 64 Cubic Ft (1,810 liters) and beyond. Operating temperatures span from -70°C to +190°C (-94°F to 375°F) and even colder or hotter to simulate any kind of environmental stress or condition. Humidity ranges span from 10% to 98% RH.

Environmental chambers simulate heat, cold, humidity and other stressors to test the environmental resistance of an item. Essential to manufacturers, a chamber is ideal for predicting how a product will react to harsh environments, like blistering deserts and humid rainforests, or years of consumer use. Operators place the device under test within the chamber and then select the desired test conditions from an accessible display any engineer or technician should be able to operate.

Manufacturers conducting R&D, military agencies seeking to fulfill MIL-STDs (military standards), aerospace or automotive developers completing component testing and countless other consumer electronic developers all rely on environmental chambers to provide accurate assessments of their devices’ limits. Common test chambers test resistance to hot and cold temperatures, excess humidity, dramatic temperature variances via thermal shock, electrodynamic vibration, extreme weather conditions like storms or salt spray, vacuum conditions and exposure to UV rays.
