Circuit Board Testers analyze and troubleshoot any issues with the board. Often through probes, testers will use Analog Signature Analysis (ASA) to assess the performance of a circuit board's components. The ASA will focus on 3 parameters for these tests: frequency, resistance, and voltage.
The various controls on a circuit board tester allow the user to focus on each part and find the most informative parameter. The ASA will then show an easy-to-read signature displayed on the tester's LCD screen.
Rather than just showing a signature analysis, testers offer a comparison to working circuit boards. The user can then easily compare analysis from a working circuit board to their suspect board.
ATEC offers circuit board tester rentals to help analyze or troubleshoot any motherboard issues.
